Room Leakage Test

The site to be extinguished must be sufficiently sealed in order to prevent the inert gases or the clean agents to escape from the environment.

ISO14520 says that clean agents and inert gases discharged to the atmosphere in the room must have a minimum duration of 10 minutes.

Fire can be extinguished immediately after a discharge in the environment, but against the danger of re-ignition of the flammable materials in the room, the extinguishing agent should be kept in the room for 10 minutes.

The aim of the Room Leakage test is to calculate the total leakage and to calculate the time that extinguishing agent is kept in the area.
